I am passionate about agricultural research specifically in the area of molecular biology because of the precision in solving problems. I have seven years’ work experience in laboratory work as an internship student, volunteer, research assistant on a number of projects, and currently a laboratory technologist in charge of the biotechnology laboratory at Makerere University Regional Centre for Crop Improvement. During my course of work, I have assisted over 25 undergraduate and graduate students with laboratory guidance in their research work and supervised 10 internship students from Makerere, Bugema, and Gulu Universities. I have attended a short training under the NEMEDUSSA (Nematology Education in Sub- Saharan Africa) program in “Molecular tools in Nematology” at Cote d’Azur University in Nice-France on a full-time basis and also an online course with Bose informatics in proteomics and genomics, India.
I am a Christian God-fearing woman, with a high degree of work ethics and integrity, a mother, and a guardian. I enjoy nature walks, reading, and listening to music. I also take delight and joy in assisting others to succeed and achieve their goals.
